The APhEx (Analytical and Philosophical Explanation) group announces to its readers the release of the sixteenth issue. In addition to the theme “Singular Reference” and two critical readings, in this issue we propose the profile of Michael Thompson.

APhEx (Analytical and Philosophical Explanation) is a platform for discussing issues in contemporary analytic philosophy research. Our journal aims to reflect the vitality and internal diversity of this tradition and to encourage its study among those approaching philosophy in Italian universities.
Since the beginning of the path that led to its foundation in 2010, APhEx has pursued these goals by making use of the experiences of its editorial staff and scientific committee, in a large number of institutions.
This has made it possible to bring together what has now become a rich and ever-growing heritage of texts that lead readers into the heart of philosophical debate from many different directions and are the expression of a passionate commitment to the most rigorous practices of refereeing, ethical responsibility, and knowledge dissemination.
