Martha Nussbaum is currently the Ernst Freund Distinguished Service Professor of Law and Ethics, appointed in the Philosophy Department, and Law School. She is an Associate in the Classics Department, the Divinity School, and the Political Science Department, a Member of the Committee on Southern Asian Studies, and a Board Member of the Human Rights Program. She is the founder and Coordinator of the Center for Comparative Constitutionalism.

È Professoressa Associata di Filosofia presso l'Università di Puget Sound. I suoi interessi di ricerca riguardano principalmente la psicologia morale, la filosofia delle emozioni e l'estetica. Ha pubblicato saggi accademici sull'amore, l'invidia, la bellezza, la pornografia e la pedagogia in riviste peer-review e volumi collettanei. È autrice della monografia "The Philosophy of Envy" (Cambridge University Press, 2021) e curatrice del volume "The Moral Psychology of Envy" (Rowman e Littlefield, 2022).
