Huw Price (1953) è Bertrand Russell Professor of Philosophy presso l’Università di Cambridge e Fellow del Trinity College, Cambridge. È direttore accademico del Centre for the Study of Existential Risk, che ha fondato nel 2012 con Martin Rees and Jaan Tallinn; e direttore accademico del nuovo Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence. È già stato professore presso l’Università di Sydney e l’Università di Edimburgo. È Fellow della British Academy e della Australian Academy of the Humanities. Price ha pubblicato libri di filosofia della fisica (Time’s Arrow and Archimedes’ Point (OUP, 1996); (curato con Richard Corry) Causation, Physics, and the Constitution of Reality: Russell’s Republic Revisited (OUP, 2007)), e su temi quali la verità, il naturalismo, il pragmatismo e l’espressivismo: Facts and the Function of Truth (Blackwell, 1988), Naturalism Without Mirrors (Oxford University Press, 2011), Expressivism, Pragmatism and Representationalism (Cambridge University Press, 2013). Huw Price (born 1953) is Bertrand Russell Professor of Philosophy at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge. He is also Academic Director of the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk, which he founded in 2012 with Martin Rees and Jaan Tallinn; and Academic Director of the new Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence. Previously he has been a professor at the University of Sydney and at the University of Edinburgh. He is a Fellow of the British Academy and the Australian Academy of the Humanities. Price has published books on philosophy of physics (Time’s Arrow and Archimedes’ Point (OUP, 1996); (co-ed with Richard Corry) Causation, Physics, and the Constitution of Reality: Russell’s Republic Revisited (OUP, 2007)), and on topic such as truth, naturalism, pragmatism and expressivism (Facts and the Function of Truth (Blackwell, 1988), Naturalism Without Mirrors (Oxford University Press, 2011), Expressivism, Pragmatism and Representationalism (Cambridge University Press, 2013).
